Youth Investment & Leadership

Our communities are only as strong as the young people we invest in today.

Across District 39, young people have the potential to lead, build, and shape the future—but too often, they lack access to consistent support, mentorship, and real opportunities to grow into that leadership.

This is where long-term change begins.

When we invest in youth early—through leadership development, education, and real-world exposure—we don’t just support individuals, we strengthen entire communities. We create stability, opportunity, and a generation that is prepared to lead.

This work is personal to me.

As a Youth Development Coordinator, I’ve worked directly with young people—helping them build confidence, find their voice, and step into leadership spaces they may not have seen themselves in before. I’ve seen what happens when youth are supported—and what happens when they are overlooked.

What I know is this: youth should not just be included—they should be prepared.

My approach focuses on development, not just access. That means equipping young people with the tools, mentorship, and opportunities they need to grow into leadership with confidence and purpose.

As State Senator, I will focus on:

  • Expanding youth leadership and civic engagement opportunities
  • Strengthening mentorship and development programs
  • Creating pathways into internships, workforce experience, and public service
  • Supporting partnerships between schools, community organizations, and local leadership
  • Ensuring youth voices are included in decisions that impact their future

But leadership starts with listening.

If you are a young person, parent, educator, or mentor—I want to hear from you. Your perspective matters, and it should help shape the future we’re building together.

Investing in youth is not optional—it’s essential.

When we invest in our youth, we invest in the future of our communities.
